To all the members of Chelmsford rugby club .. I have made the decision this season to move away from individual player sponsorship and ask the members to sponsors a 1ST and 2ND TEAM PLAYING SHIRTS.I am hoping by doing this we can help the other teams within the club with more funding and equipment for match days and the running costs for all the team's over the coming season.

Every week 18 first and 20 2nd team shirts take to the field of play and your Companies name's or an individuals name or even a collection of name's can sponsor a playing shirt for a season.
Your name will be put on the Chelmsford website next to the shirt number you sponsor and if your Company as a Website link we can add that attachment also during the season when match day programme's are produced once again your name's will appear.beside the shirt's number.

New Membership Rates

Below are the new membership rates. A standing order form will be posted onto the website soon

• Senior playing member £20 per month no match fees (by standing order)
• Playing family member £23 per month no match fees for adult, each child pays 2 per week match fees (by standing order)
• Student £10 per month no match fees must produce student card (bystanding order)
• Youth and mini single £40 plus 2 match fees per week, includes 2 parents as members otherwise cannot use bar
• Non playing adult family £40 for adults and 1st child , 2nd child £20, 3rd child £10, then rest free each child (even if free membership) must pay 2 per week match fees

About the Club

Chelmsford Rugby Football Club was established in 1920 and for the last 40 years we have been playing at Coronation Park, Timpsons Lane, Chelmsford

The Club at present has some 330 members, which comprises approximately 90 senior players with four/five Senior sides. We play league rugby and are currently in London Division North East 3.

We have some 150 Mini/Youth members providing teams from under 6’s to under 17’s.

For the last seven years a Ladies team has been established, although due to the lack of proper facilities they can only play on an irregular basis.

Take the A12 towards London. Take the first exit signposted to Chelmsford and get onto the A138. Take the slip road signposted Springfield and Chelmer Village. At the roundabout at the bottom take the 4th exit to Chelmsford A1113. Follow this road over a roundabout. After 400yds turn left after the Plough public house. Chelmsford Rugby Club is in Coronation Park at the end of the road on the right.

Committees

The management of the Club is run by a general Committee comprising some ten members, this will include; the President, Chairman, Vice Chairman, Honorary Secretary, Honorary Treasurer, Honorary Membership Secretary, Chairman of Youth, Manager of Minis, Club Captain.

In addition there are the following sub Committees:-

Finance Committee comprising the Treasurer, Honorary Secretary, Assistant Honorary Treasurer, Vice Chairman, Membership Secretary, Chairman of Youth and Bar Manager.

There is a Playing Committee consisting of the Chairman of the Club, Club Captain, Director of Coaching, Chairman of Selectors, Players Captain, Honorary Fixture/Match Secretary and Chairman of the Youth, as well as senior playing Club Captains and Ladies Captain.

In addition there is a Youth Committee comprising Chairman of the Youth, Secretary to the Youth Committee, Manager of the Minis and Vice Chairman of the Club.

There is also a Social Committee comprising four to five members, including a Publicity Officer.
